Q& A : edit: i dont wanna get it exactly like that pic , just the messy kind of look in general.
hi , for ages i have grown my hair to the length it is now and then just got it cut short again but now i have decided to grow it out a bit.

i want to be able to mess it up and play with it so i can do something like this

what would i have to ask for at the barber ? because like i said i have always had it short. and also what product do i use to get that kind of look ?
any advise on what would suit me would be appreciated and i know im not the greatest looking guy in the world so no dumb comments plz.
just say you want to grow it long but want it too keep some shape to it simple as that. just grow it and keep the fringe shortish until it starts getting quite long after 6months or so. get it cut 2-3 times ovr 6 months each time say you wanna grow it and eventually you will start to see what is natural for your head and can modify what you ask for at barberrs. They need direction but intially just say wanna grow longer. It will take a few months to get the length in back and sides to match top
