I love Kinky/Nappy Hair IT is absolutely beautiful I am definitley going natural
message to all black women: real, intelligent, successful, straight, black men see fake a person when we see fake hair, thats the 1st impression. wigs, weaves and extensions apply. be true to yourself.
I actually just cut my hair off on 04/12/10 a date I will never forget. I didn’t do it to make a particular statement but because it was a feeling from deep within that told me I NEEDED to do it. It was very symbolic to me personally for changes I have made within and new beginnings. My husband cut my hair off and he loves it and it made him feel good and special to be apart of the spiritual growth! I love it and I am definitely flaunting my crown
@lovemeloveyou011 there are other hairstyles for natural women, like different braided hairstyles
But I guess to each their own…
@lenny004975- So I could see what styles there were….
That was so chacolate an buetiful in so many ways, I see things like this an it warms my heart to see the real black woman in all our glory!!! I love it love it love it!!!
@lovemeloveyou011 then why are you on a natural hair video?
Aretha Franklin ft Lauryn Hill ” A Rose is Still A Rose”
wat song is this? Its Beautiful!!
I my self is transitioning to natural hair. It’s been two years know with out perm and it’s slowly growing. this video has put a huge smile on my face!!
Still prefer long, wavy, soft hair texture. I could never go out with a huge afro on my head or long dreadlocks or twists and there is NO WAY I could ever have my hair short and nappy.
black women’s hair is so unique and so many different styles could be made with it that other races can’t do with their hair. I love black women with natural hair. If more black women wore their natural hair instead of this weave crap our stupid and ignorant society would start to accept this beautiful style.
amen!!
Magnificient!!!
As someone whose been natural most of her life, it’s very empowering to see so many beautiful women who are natural. Excellent song choice!
i LOVE this video it gave me confidence
@YayFlannigan… AMEN! … thats all iCan say about that
I think she was just displaying some beautiful hair care options, especially for women who think that black hair in its natural state is unattractive or unmanageable.
I have relaxed hair, but I do appreciate this excellent and informative video;)
Permanent Relaxers vs. Curly Perms( The term “perm” was used in both instances)
Years ago(up until around the 1990s) many blacks used the term “perm” since it was short for “permanent relaxer”.
I think those are called “Bantu Knots”. Generally they can be beautiful on women, but one must have a certain kind of facial and head shape to nicely pull it off. One of my best friends(who is very petite…lol)once had this particular style and it looked awesome on her, bringing out the beauty of her face.
i dont care what anybody says! natural is BEAUTIFUL and there shouldn’t be any other way… why would we want to be anyone else but ourselves black is beautiful !
This video is seriousss boy!! i loved it! I AM SICK of when i tell ppl to go natural they say no because they feel ppl wont like it or because they think they havent got “good hair” GOOD HAIR MY BACKSIDE if u got hair on ur hair then its good hair! anyone can get a healthy afro look if u educate urself on how to deal with UR hair not some random wig or weave or some straight hair that u have chosen coz u think its ”easier’ life isnt ment to b easy n its the harder things that bring more rewards
Beautiful video! The picture of the mother and daughter towards the end was not only beautiful but powerful. We need to encourage the younger generation to embrace their natural beauty, the way God made them.
Indeed. The myth is that only blacks are unable to grow naturally straight hair. Some can and some can’t. Additionally, many don’t know that non-blacks can also grow naturally curly, frizzy, kinky hair. It may not be a prominent number of individuals, but from what I’ve seen a lot of women in the US try to press their hair into a uniform straight style. So to me, even the idea of “straight” hair seems mythical to some extent, at least within a US context.
and to the people who think natural hair is unhealthy because it does not look like a white persons hair are a mexicans hair and etc. im not white or a mexican and my healthy hair is not going to look like thair hair it’s going to look like my natural hair.
